This past Friday night at the Hollywood Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino the Action Fight League held their third event in the promotions brief history, Rock-N-Rumble 3. American Top Team fighter and TKO Management client, Ailton Barbosa, competed in the nights co-main event against Mitch McElroy of Orlando. I what was a bloody 3 round dominate performance, Barbosa earned the victory via unanimous decision with the scores 29-28, 30-27, 30-27.
Ailton Barbosa now improves his record to 6-2 and is now in the hunt for a title shot. In his post fight interview, Barbosa was quick to call out one of his only losses Mike Bernhardt as he seeks out that title rematch from 1 year ago. Bernhardt, having moved up in weight, is not that interested in a rematch with Barbosa as he is looking for his own title shot in the Middleweight division. Ailton, now being the #1 contender in the welterweight division may still get a title shot in his next fight depending on numerous up coming fight results.
In his post fight interview Ailton thanked all his friends and fans for coming out and showing their support.
